The requirements placed on the leader within today's commercial environment are very different than 10 or 15 years ago. The Twenty First Century leader is not just conversant with the policies rules and specific company procedures. They have to be a coach, counsellor, motivator, team player and aware of the ever changing requirements of each and every member within the team. The leader has to be more cross functional and inter departmental. He or she needs to be able to influence outside of the normal hierarchy and successfully lead the team in a constantly changing business environment
Programme Objectives: Have an increased understanding of their own strengths and weaknesses. Utilise a selection of leadership styles tools and techniques. Identify your preferred leadership style and the accepted styles of leadership. Successfully lead a number of practical leadership exercises. Demonstrate an understanding of the role of the successful leader. Encourage through positive leadership action participation at all levels.
